As part of the 2020 Vermont Reads program offered by the Vermont Humanities Council, Champlain College faculty and staff are invited to participate in a ten-week book discussion group exploring the many important themes and challenging topics presented by the novel: racism, community, the Black Lives Matter movement, activism, family, justice, law enforcement, the complexities of gang culture, friendship, and identity.
This virtual learning community will meet on Wednesdays at 9 am from September 16 through November 18, lead by Kathy Leo-Nyquist.
Open to the first 20 participants to register, each of whom will receive a copy of the book.
To register, email rmills@champlain.edu and accept the invitation in your Google Calendar.
