I picked up our COTS tree from City Market in the south end in the best way possible this year- by bike!

What’s your favorite holiday tradition?
My housemates/farm-ily celebrate December 13th each year for La Festa di Santa Lucia. We line tables with candles, make a communal meal including traditional foods to honor the day, and spend the evening focusing on the light on one of the darkest days of winter.

How have you decorated your home this year?
My partner and I have added extra lights this year with white snowflakes and blue twinkling icicles in our front windows. We cut down our own Christmas tree this year and have it front and center next to handmade crochet stockings I made for us and our pets last year! Our new skiing nutcracker is this year’s addition to our living room display. It’s very festive inside and out!
What’s your favorite holiday tradition?
Starting in 2020 and ever since, I host a videocall with my friends on Christmas Eve to read the Night Before Christmas after everyone reads from their favorite childhood Christmas books.

Our moongate is a signature piece in our landscape and it is always the first thing to get decorated.

How have you decorated your home this year?
I got a big Christmas Tree from White’s Farm this year and it’s decorated with lights and the ornaments I’ve been collecting all my life. We have candles and garlands all along the house and the Menorah is up front and center!
What’s your favorite holiday tradition?
I love watching cheesy holiday movies and cooking. Every year a group of my college friends gets together for a weekend of games, food, and playing in the snow.
