The Staff Council Communications & Engagement Committee and the People Center invite you to join us for a summer book club!
WHAT: We will be reading Becoming by Michelle Obama!
WHEN: We will meet biweekly for six weeks (actually seven weeks to keep the first week of July free). We will read the book in three stages:
- Meeting one (June 9th) “Becoming Me” (pages 1-108)
- Meeting two (June 23rd) “Becoming Us” (pages 109-280)
- Meeting three (July 14th) “Becoming More” (pages 281-416)
WHERE: We will be meeting virtually using InSpace. If you would like to join us please email swilson@champlain.edu and we will add you to the calendar invitation.
HOW: We have a copy of the book in our library. All of the public libraries in the area have copies. If you’d like to buy the book, we suggest visiting one of our wonderful local bookstores:
- Crow Bookshop (you can purchase in person or online, and they offer free shipping!)
- Phoenix Books (two convenient locations, in Burlington and Essex)
